Background: The use of laproscopic surgery is integral part these days for both minor as well as major abdominal surgeries. But these changes come with various anaesthetic challenges which requires various interventions when these surgeries are performed under general anaesthesia. Hence we are combining spinal anaesthesia to the general anaesthesia technique to counteract the changes during laproscopic surgery as well as we will look for safety of such combination
Methodology: 60 patients each belonging to ASA physical status I/II will be randomly selected and divided in two groups, Group SGA and Group GA. Group SGA will receive a combination of general anesthesia and spinal anesthesia and group GA will receive general anaesthesia alone. Patients will be compared on the basis of hemodynamic stability, recovery time from anaesthesia, duration of post-operative analgesia and side effects.
Expected results: It is expected that Group SGA will have superior haemodynamic stability, less recovery time and more duration of post-operative analgesia as compared to Group GA
