Background: Stroke is one of the main clinical outcomes of cerebrovascular disease. NHANES is a study which stated -uric acid is an autonomous hazard for causation of cardiac & CVE disorders. Some studies have shown a positive independent relation between stroke and uric acid. This study is thus planned to know the relationship between levels of uric acid in serum, in the patients having acute stroke.
Objectives: 1. To Estimate the Levels of Uric Acid in Patients Presenting with Acute Stroke
2. To Estimate the Levels of Serum Uric Acid Among Cases and Controls and Correlate It with The Outcome and Prognosis Of Stroke, If Any.
Methodology: It is a prospective cross-sectional study. Patients attending medicine OPD and IPD are screened, in order to investigate Serum uric acid levels in patients suffering from Acute Stroke
Results: We expect the result to derive at a conclusion that high uric acid levels in serum will be associated with bad prognosis in Acute Stroke patients.
Conclusion: According to previous studies, there is a correlation between the serum uric acid levels and Acute Stroke. Increase in serum uric acid levels has a bad outcome in patients having acute stroke.
