Abstract:

Sheetapitta is one among the Tvak Vikara that have similar hetu of kotha and udarda. Vata and Kapha which are primarily disturbed which then get associated with Pitta resulting in tridosha prakopa. It leads to redness, swelling, itching on the skin etc. .Symptoms of Sheetpitta are similar to Urticaria . The features of Sheetpitta being Varati Damstavat Sotha and Kandu caused by Kapha, Shula caused by Vata and Daha caused by Pitta. Even sometimes it causes symptoms like Chardi, Hrillasa, Aruchi, Dehasada, Angagaurava, Jvara, Vidaha and Pipasa.
Aim: The aim of the study is to compare Amrutadi Kwath with Loratidine to treat Sheetpitta(Urticaria) according to its symptomatology.
Methodology: 40 patients (20 in each group) will receive intervention Amrutadi Kwath (20 patients) and loratidine (20 patients) to see the comparative effect of these intervention.
Result: Relief in all sign and symptom is expected.and no patient found any side effect in group A and least side effect in group B.
Conclusion: the interventional drug Amrutadi Kwath is 30%more effective in Sheetpitta patient as compared to Loratidine with least side effects.
