A Review of SCOPUS Indexed Publications affiliated to a Deemed University in Central India using Bibliometric analysis.

Background:
Bibliometrics being an important tool to track scientific activities of an University, bibliometric data is needed to apply for accreditation, project calls, funding grants and used by University for strategic purposes, for reporting to the public administration, accreditation, framing research policies and dissemination. Scopus being the biggest abstract and citation database of scientific literature, is very convenient for a comprehensive overview of the medical publications. This study was conducted to analyse the publications affiliated to Deemed to be University which were published in Scopus indexed journals over the period of Jan. 2017 to March 2020.
Methodology:
This retrospective observational study included online access to Scopus database through Login into the Scopus website followed by Affiliation search. Key bibliometric information was retrieved, exported as bibtex format and was fed to R-Studio Application. Bibliographic data frame was created. Basic information of publications was recorded and results were summarized using descriptive statistics.
Results and Discussion:
Total 324 scientific documents were retrieved from 126 sources including journals, books etc from Scopus Indexed database. A list of total 979 Author Keywords was included. The list of Authors included 2332 names among which authors of single-authored documents were 14 and number of authors of multi-authored documents was 2318. The Collaboration Index was 7.75. The published documents mainly included 276 (85.18%) Journal Articles.
