Background: Obesity is current health problem increasing now a days leading to metabolic and cardiovascular abnormalities. The main aim of study is echocardiographic assessment of cardiac function in various obesity phenotypes.
Objectives: The main objectives are to assess systolic function by calculating LVEF by measuring EDV and ESV and assess diastolic function of heart in obesity phenotypes by E/A and E/Eā and compare various echocardiographic parameters across different obesity phenotypes.
Methodology: A total of 400 participants having no history of any cardiovascular diseases were selected and classified them into four groups according to BMI and metabolic syndrome(MetS) component as metabolically healthy obese, metabolically unhealthy obese, metabolically unhealthy non obese, metabolically healthy non obese and study the echocardiographic assessment of cardiac function in those phenotypes.
Expected outcome: By doing this study, we can expect echocardiographic parameters such as systolic function by calculating LVEF and diastolic function by E/A and E/Eā shows significant changes among different obesity phenotypes than healthy normal weight individuals.
