High dose versus Low dose of oxytocin for augmentation of labour at term

Abstract:
|
Background-Obstetricians play main role in providing and improving maternal and child health (MCH) care facilities. One of the goal of MCH care is safe delivery with good feto maternal outcome. The drug Oxytocin is given to increase contractions and number of spontaneous vaginal births with high dose regimens. The oxytocin plays important role to reduce rates of caesarean birth when used for management of dystocia. For augmentation of labour Oxytocin regimens are low-dose o (1-1.5 milli units/min) and High dose (4-6 milli units/min).
Methodology: There will be 120 participants from each group of term patients.
All low risk intrapartum women fulfilling the inclusion and exclusion criteria will be included. Women who receive High Dose of Oxytocin (4-6 milli units/min) Titration will be included in GroupI. Women who receive Low Dose of Oxytocin (1-1.5milli units/min) Titration will be included in Group II.
Results-The result would be undertaken in SPSS software.
Conclusion-The conclusion will be based for finding for study for protocol.
