Abstract:

Among the computer users, symptoms are attributed to use of computer also but as the symptoms to user are not always visible, many users will not attribute computer for symptoms of VDTS. Dryness and headache were significantly less among them. 87 subjects were not using the terminal from below the eye levels. Eyestrain, dryness and watering were major problems for them. Eyestrain and dryness were major complaints among those who did not use Anti-glare screen. Frequent breaks during work can reduce itching while not taking breaks can cause eyestrain, dryness and headache. 116 subjects (79% females & 58% males) were NOT using 20-20-20 rule. Eyestrain, dryness, headache and watering were major problems for them.
