Application of biopreparations based on strains of nodule bacteria in the productivity of alfalfa in central yakutia

Author: M.T. YAKOVLEVA
Abstract: The research was conducted in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in 1997-2010. Application of biopreparations based on strains of nodule bacteria is an ecologically clean way to increase crop yields and improve soil fertility. The influence of pre-sowing inoculation of seeds of alfalfa variety Yakut yellow by various bio preparations on the basis of strains of nodule bacteria has been studied: production 425 a, 412 b, 404 b, perspective - 5563, 423 b, 2M4M and substitutes of production strains 415 b and 408 b. The variant without inoculation was examined as a control. The responsiveness of alfalfa to the use of biopreparations has been noted: inoculation of seeds contributed to the increase of productivity and accumulation of plant biomass. In the experimental variants a significant increase of green mass yield - 36 t/ha has been noted. In Central Yakutia cryosolic - taiga - pale yellow soils with low humus content are widespread. Before sowing, agrochemical analysis of soil was carried out: humus content was 1.84%, exchangeable potassium content - 255, phosphorus content - 217 mg/kg of soil. Inoculation of alfalfa seeds by strains of nodule bacteria influenced the root system development and symbiotic potential: the number of nodules, the mass of nodules, the mass of roots. Dry mass of roots was obtained in the variant with strain Yakut No.1 up to 21 t/ha, in the control variant 6.5 t/ha. The weight of nodules was 10 kg/ha in a control version and 21 kg/ha in a version with strains of associative bacteria. The number of nodules was formed in the control variant in the amount of 3.7 mln pcs/ha, and in the variants with nodule bacteria in the amount of 7 mln pcs/ha. Thus, the application of the studied biopreparations based on strains of nodule bacteria had a positive impact both on plant growth and development, and on the symbiotic potential of the root system of alfalfa.
