Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is currently an actual problem of modern rheumatology. According to literature data, it is known that in AS affects not only the spine and joints, but also the internal organs, in particular, the cardiovascular system. This study was conducted to study the degree of damage to the cardiovascular system. The study was conducted among 55 patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) hospitalized in the 1st clinic of the Tashkent Medical Academy. All patients underwent clinical examination, pulse and blood pressure measurement, general blood count and acute phase proteins analysis, X-ray of the chest and spine, ECG, and transtoracic echocardioscopy (TTE). The results obtained were entered into a special table and analyzed. And also some results were analyzed depending on the form of spinal lesions and the duration of the disease. The obtained results indicated the presence of cardiac pathology, which is also confirmed by previous scientific studies.
