Abstract: The challenges faced by the waste management in India is the impulse of this study.In this paper an endeavor is being rendered to access the role of NGO’s in the waste management and the major constraints of WMS, in addition a comprehensive case study at MAM Trust, Amritapuri is included. Waste Management is considered to be an important service that must be provided by the Municipalities and other government establishments. Inability to provide those services will make the situation pathetic. Privatization or Partnership alliances is one of the preeminent option available to enhance the performance of public service. This shows the vast scope of NGO’s in helping the government in managing the waste efficiently.
