This research project was intended to investigate the Antidiabetic activity of Delonix elata extracts in diabetic animals. In duration of 14 days 100 and 200 mg/kg doses were given to the wistar rats. Post Prandial Blood Glucose (PPBG), Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS), Glycated Haemoglobin (HbA1c), High Density Lipoproteins (HDL), Serum Cholesterol (TC), Very Low Density Lipoproteins (VLDL), Triglycerides (TG), Low Density Lipoproteins (LDL), Catalase (CAT), Super Oxide Dismutase (SOD) and Reduced Glutathione (GSH) were evaluated. Glibenclamide (10 mg/kg) is the standard hypoglycaemic agent selected for this work. Methanolic extract 200 mg/kg was more significant in antidiabetic activity (P<0.001) on 14th day and also significantly (P<0.001) decreased TC, TG, LDL, VLDL and HbA1c levels while collated with diabetic control. It can be revealed that Delonix elata whole plant extracts are having antidiabetic activity from the obtained results.
