Hepatitis B is one of themost common infectious agent causing liver disease, this study included 125individual,
patients divided into four major group according to stage of disease and viral load ( Acute liver failure ALF,
Acute hepatitis AHB, chronic hepatitis CHB, and Liver cirrhosis LC). And 50 health individual as control, with
age ranging from 16 to 65 years, who were observation in Specialized Centre for GIT of Al – Mrajan hospital
in Babylon government , during the period from December 2019 to the end of April 2019 . HBV was
determined by real time PCR .The percentage of patient with hepatitis B according to viral load was ND
(46.8%) , and non-significant in two other group low viral load group (25.8%) and high viral load group (27.4%)
.Interleukin 17 concentrations were determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay the concentration of
IL-17 in hepatitis B patient group was significant (<0.05) comparable to healthy control group. Which in IL-17
(232.22 ±60.85pg/ml) patient and (76.69±4.28) control.,The Conclusion of this study there was no significant
difference betweendifferent levels of HBV DNA with the serum level of IL-17 (P =0.563) .
