Hematological Investigation Anemia of Local Breed Sheep in Middle of Iraq

Abstract: The study, include survey for Anemic in sheep in middle of Iraq to conclude the changes in blood parameters in anemic cases through the use of the morphological classifications, 40 serum samples have been randomly gathered from the sheep of both sexes aged 1–6 y, they have been grazing on the pasture from various Baghdad districts. Hematologically there was significant (p is less than 0.01) decreasing of the red blood cells (RBCs), pack cell volume, hemoglobin concentration, total protein in normal RS, albumin and fibrinogen were normal, respectively, the mean value of those parameters has been considerably lower (p is greater than 00.05) than normal and among anemic animals. The average copper level in the infected sheep serum, significant (p<0.01) decrease those average values have been declined in anemic sheep has been significant as compared to the apparently normal sheep.
