Influencing Factors in a Survival Experience: Inducing the Sense of Fear and Safety into the Gameplay

Author: ARASHMEHR, PARSA, LEO DAVID, GERTRUDE, TET-KHUAN, CHEN
Abstract: This game is a third-person action game that includes survival elements. Most survival games have general mechanics like running, using weapons, crafting items etc., but what factor distinguishes this survival game from other games? This game is trying its best to induce a sense of fear and safety to the players in different moments of the game. Correct implementation of this factor can create a real survival experience for the players. Therefore, in this game, the way the player interacts with the world and the world responds to the player’s actions differs from the previous games in the same genre.
