The authors conduct a comparative analysis of patients with acute pancreatitis on the assessment scales of Ranson and APACHE II to form a final diagnosis and to predict the risk of lethality in acute pancreatitis, which plays a major role in determining the treatment tactics of patients.
The authors conclude that the surgical activity in acute pancreatitis of biliary etiology was 25.6%, while in the alimentary form of the disease only 7.9% of patients were operated on, the frequency of repeated interventions was 9.1% vs 1.6%, while postoperative lethality reached 25.9% and 20.5% fatal outcomes of conservative treatment were observed in 2.1% and 0.7% of cases, while the total lethality rate was 8.2% and 2.2%.
