This study offers a retrospective examination of the consequences of the treatment of 1067 patients with difficult cholelithiasis. A two-stage healing method was used, aimed at critical endoscopic invasion on the bile channels, followed by cholecystectomy. The results showed that endoscopic transpapillary invasions are the primary method of final diagnosis and treatment of complicated cholelithiasis. The approach provides for much lower postoperative morbidity and mortality.
