Effects of Eucalyptus Alcoholic Extracts on Pathogenic E.coli, Invitro Study

| Abstract:

The antibacterial effects of eucalyptus on pathogenic E. coli was the aim of the current study. A two pathogenic E. coli isolates were isolated previously. Alcoholic extracts of eucalyptus was prepared from leaves of Eucalyptus with three concentration (100, 200, 300) mg / ml, these were tested by a method of Agar-well diffusion. The present results displayed a different mean of inhibition zone diameter for alcoholic extract were (18, 20.5, 22.5) mm. In conclusion, the eucalyptus extracts has an antibacterial effects against pathogenic E. coli.
