Abstract:

The present study aims mainly to determine the prevalence of HCV by antibody testing among patients diagnosed with CKD on regular (HD) from January 2014 to December 2017, and identifications of major risk factors that can increase the risk of hepatitis C in those patients, undergo (HD), by standard questionnaire including the age, gender, number of blood transfusions patients had received, frequency and duration of dialysis. An observational cross-sectional study was carried out for the determination of the hepatitis C prevalence in (284) patients diagnosed as chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis & the data was obtained from information in patients’ medical records.
