A new, rapid, precise, accurate and sensitive first derivative spectrophotometric analytical method is proposed for the
simultaneous estimation of Pantoprazole and Cinitapride in combined dosage form. The drugs obeyed the Beer’s law in the
concentration range of 1-26 ug/ml. In the proposed method, absorbance was measured at 302 nm (Zero Crossing Point of
Cinitapride) and 249 nm (Zero Crossing Point of Pantoprazole). Accuracy of the method was determined by recovery studies
and was found to be 100.35 ? 0.18 and 99.61 ? 0.17 for Pantoprazole and Cinitapride respectively. The proposed method is
simple, accurate, precise, rapid and cost effective. Therefore the proposed method can be used for routine analysis of both
drugs in bulk as well as in pharmaceutical formulations.
