Abstract: Introduction: Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. The person who is able to manage his or her physical, mental and social challenges throughout the life is considered as healthy. The purpose of this study was to assess the health status among the community dwelling individuals. Method: This is a prospective study conducted among the public visiting a public health campaign conducted in Butterworth, Malaysia. Parameters like height, weight, BMI, blood glucose, blood pressure were measured. Results: The study data showed that 36.8% (n=64) out of 189 of the participants are under normal weight and don’t develop obesity. 68.8% (n=130) of the participants are having controlled blood glucose (<7.8 mmol/L). There are 76.7% (n=145) of them were having controlled systolic blood pressure (<140 mmHg) while 45.5% (n=86) of them are having uncontrolled diastolic blood pressure (= 90 mmHg). But, the overall most of them were having controlled blood pressure. Conclusion: The study manifested that most of the participants were under normal weight, having controlled glucose level and controlled blood pressure. Preventions should be taken by the public to maintain their health status and reduce the risk of developing diseases.
