Author: NOR MOHD, SOHAIL LATIF, SAMEERA ABBAS, IHSAN GHAZALI, FARIDAH KORMIN
Abstract: Purpose: To determine the total phenolic and flavonoid content, antioxidant and anti-acetylcholinesterase activity of Ficus deltoidea infusion. Methodology: Phytochemicals assays involve total phenolic content (TPC) and total flavonoid content (TFC). Whereas antioxidant activities of FRAP, ABTS and DPPH were evaluated. Ant-acetylcholinesterase of AChE activities was carried out. Results: TPC (501.35 ± 10.28 mg GAE/L); TFC (111.0 ± 4.44 mg RE/L); DPPH (52.07% Inhibition); FRAP (987.7 ± 31.11 mg Fe /L); ABTS (60.17 ± 0.38 mg AEAC/L); AChE (16.90% Inhibition) Applications/Originality/Value: As far as the author knowledge, the total phenolic and flavonoid content, along with antioxidants and anti-acetylcholinesterase activities of F. deltoidea infusion had not been reported.
Keyword: Deltoidea infusion, TPC, TFC.
