valuation of the Occupational Health Status of the Yasuj Cement Factory Personnel in 2017

Abstract: Cement dust can cause many complications, including respiratory problems, musculoskeletal disorders, hearing impairment, and skin diseases. Hence, due to the complications caused by the cement in people exposed to it, this study was conducted to evaluate the occupational health status of the Yasuj Cement Factory personnel in 2017. This descriptive-analytical study was conducted using a cross-sectional method. In this study, the data obtained from medical records of the 480 workers and employees were analyzed. After collecting and extracting the data, they were entered into SPSS software and analyzed. Different age groups did not show a statistically significant difference in the variables of pulmonary disorders and skin and musculoskeletal disorders (p?0.05), but the mean of these disorders was higher in the worker group than that in the employee group. The rate of hearing impairment was significantly different between the 30-40 years old group and that of over 50 years old group (p?0.05). Moreover, the different hearing impairment type was reported between the 30-40 years old group and that of 40-50 years old group and over 50 years old age group .There was no significant difference at other age groups, but the mean of hearing impairment was higher in the worker group than that of the employee group. Heart diseases were also different at different age groups and this difference was significant between the age groups of 20-30 years old and 40-50 years old.
