Anemia Prevalence in Patients with Myocardial Infarction Referring to Imam Sajjad Hospital of Yasuj City during 2017

Abstract: Introduction: Studies have shown that anemia is independently related to cardiovascular disease and negative prognosis.as it was said, that purpose of the present study is determining of anemia spreading in patient with myocardial infarction that referred to Emam Sajjad hospital in 2017. Materials and Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was performed on 157 patients referred to cardiac centers of Yasuj hospitals whose records were in the hospital. The sampling method in this study was census. Data were collected using a checklist prepared by the researcher and then entered into SPSS-25 software using descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation and tables and graphs) and inferential statistics were analyzed. Findings: in general, 157patients participated in this study. Average age of these participants was 58/70±16/81.there were 108 males (68.79 percent) and 49 females (31.21 percent). The investigation of anemia in this patients showed that 22 of them have anemia.36.4 percent of men and 63.6 percent of women had anemia. Also among men 7.4 percent of them and among women 28.6 percent of them had anemia. The results of the percent study showed that there is a meaningful relationship between anemia and sex .the most rate of anemia was found among the people who had more than 60 years. Also the analysis of data shows that there is a relationship between anemia and increasing of age. Conclusion: anemia is more common in some patients that suffer from a cardiovascular disease that we should take notuce of it. Because have shown that there is a relationship between death and anemia. Therefore we should pay more attention to anemia in these patient especially old women.
