Abstract:

Sleep is a very important requirement for humans, especially at the age of the child. The sleep quality of
children's cottages is influenced by some of the habits, the environment and activities that become their
routine and can disturb their sleep time. Children with poor sleep quality will have an impact on growth,
development, psychology and concentration problems. Islam teaches Sleep-etiquette, which refers to
Rosululloh Muhammad SAW sleep habit. It is name as sleep-etiquette Sunnah Rosul. Applying sleep-etiquette
Sunnah Rosul was very suitable in primary school children, to practice their motor skill
Based on the data of students in Pondok Pesantren AM Cilacap Indonesia, showed that there were sleep
problems, which can be seen from the total sleep time, length of time required to sleep which more than 60
minutes, and feel sleepy when doing activities.
The purpose of this study is to know the effects of health education sleep-ettiquette to sleep quality. This
research used pre-experimental design. The population in this study were all of the students of elementary
school (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah) grade IV-VI in Pondok Pesantren Al-Muhtar, Cilacap, Indonesia.
The result showed that there were difference of sleep habit of sleep-ettiquette before and after being given
health education of health sleep etiquette Sunnah Rosul with value (pv = 0.002 <0.05), there were the
difference of quality of sleep before and after given health education with Value (pv = 0.007 <0.05)
