Abstract:

This article presents a retrospective analysis of the results of treatment of 1067 patients with complicated
cholelithiasis. A two-stage surgical approach was used, aimed at urgent endoscopic intervention on the bile ducts,
followed by cholecystectomy. The results showed that endoscopic transpapillary interventions are the primary
method of final diagnosis and treatment of complicated cholelithiasis. The approach provides for much lower
postoperative morbidity and mortality.
