Abstract: The acute toxicity and antihypoxic activity of N4-substituted 5-(1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl) -1,2,4-triazole-3- thiones were studied in mice during in vivo experiments. According to the test results, it was found that most of the compounds examined belong to the 5th class of toxicity (according to the OECD classification). Antihypoxic activity was investigated on the model of normobaric hypoxia with hypercapnia. The examined compounds demonstrated an average antihypoxic activity in comparison with the known antihypoxant – Mexidol.
Keyword: antihypoxic activity, normobaric hypoxia, toxicity, thion, 1,2,4-triazole.
