Oyster is salt-water bivalve molluscs that live in marine or brackish habitats. Morphometry is the quantitative
analysis of size and shape. This observation was conducted during August 2017 to September 2017 at Belawan,
Medan (Site 1) and Tanjung Pura, Langkat (Site 2) . Total samples were 146 oyster or 73 oyster per location. The
oysters were collected by hand picking. The oyster samples were observed at Biology Laboratory, Universitas
Medan Area, North Sumatra, Indonesia. The objectives of this observation were (i) to determine how close
correlation berween edible meat weight (MW) with shell length (SL=X 1 ), shell high (SH=X 2 ), shell wide(SD=X 3 ),
and shell weight (SW=X 4 ), of oyster (Anadara antiquata) from two different sites, (ii) if the correlation r>0.5 it
will be determined their multiple linier regression models, (iii) to determined whether or not the two multiple
linier models were identik. Both locations were still in North Sumatra province of Indonesia. The distance of the
two sites were around 100 km. Both sites were selected due to they were considered as central of oyster
productions. The condition of both locations were relatively similar, such as climate and the salt water. The
results of these observations were (i) correlation berween edible meat weight (MW ) with SL, SH, SD and SW at
Belawan was r = 0.17 and at Tanjung Pura was r = 0.76 , (ii) sice the correlation r > 0.5 so, it was made the
multiple regression model, and the results were Y = 0.01 X1 + 1.14 X2 + 0.45 X3 - 0.01 X4 + 4.61 at Belawan
and at Tanjung Pura, it was Y = 0.96 X1 -0.56 X2 + 0.61 X3 + 0.41 X4 - 3.33. The dependent variables Y was
the oyster meat weght (MW) and the independent variables were : X 1 = shell length (SL), X 2 = shell high (SH), X 3
= shell wide (SD), and X 4 = shell weight (SW). (iii) by using t-test if was defined that the two multiple linier
models were identik.
