Opung Sari Basah Bang is one of the policies of the Deli Serdang Regency Government with the hope that school
children do not dispose of the litter so that good character is formed the which is manifested in the Clean and
Healthy Behavior (PHBS). One manifestation of the implementation of PHBS is to dispose of garbage in its place so
that schools that are environmentally sound will be Achieved. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the
application of Opung Sari Basah Bang and PHBS in children of high school 1 PancurBatu. This was a cross-sectional
study conducted at 1 PancurBatu Public High School in Deli Serdang Regency from April to May 2018. A sample of 88
people. Data collection tool using a questionnaire. Data analysis with the chi-square test. The results of the study
Obtained a value of p = 0.001, this shows that there is a relationship between the application of Basah sari Opung
Bang and PHBS. It was suggested to the Principal of PancurBatu 1 High School to make a routine schedule for Opung
Sari Basah Bang so that good PHBS would be maintained and PHBS for school children would be better.
