| Abstract:
|
This study includes synthesis and characterization of derivatives of pyrimidines (R or Ar-2,3,4,6,7,8-
hexahydroquinazolin-5(1H)-one), via of the reaction from aldehyde derivatives with cyclohexane-1,3-dione and
guanidine hydro chlorid. This mixture was refluxed for (4 – 6) hrs; while maintaining the pH at 6. Using absolute
ethanol as a solvent. The prepared compounds were characterized by melting point, FT-IR , UV-Vis 1H-NMR and
13CNMR spectroscopy . Some derivatives of pyrimidinetestad pathogenic bacterial isolates that included gram positive
bacteria Staphylococcus aureasand gram negative bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosawere obtained from Department
of Biology/ college of Sciences / Al-Mustansiriyah University,
