Author: IMANNOZAD SHAKIR
Abstract: The present study was aimed to demonstrated the activity of phenolic compounds. 20 adult male rats were used and distributed to four groups (each group consist 5 rats); rats that received normal saline, rats injected intraperitoneal with B. mallei at dose 10 6 cell/ ml. third group rat injected intraperitoneal with G. lambliaat dose 103 cell/ ml. infected rat and treated with 150ug/ml of phenolic compoundsfor four weeks. Infected rat and treated with 200ug/ml of phenolic compoundsfor four weeks. The results show high significant increased (P < 0.05) in levels MDA with high significant decreased (P < 0.05) in levels GSH, catalase in an infected rats compare with control group. In treated rats show non-significant changes (P < 0.05) in all parameters compare with control group when using phenolic compounds. It was concluded that phenolic compoundshave been potential role against the toxicity of G. lamblia.
