Author: ZEHRA ODABAS-SERIN, ALI M. H. M. RAOOF , ZHALA B. TAHA
Abstract: This study show how a few medicinal herbal plant extract can extensively affect on some pathogenic microorganisms for human in exceptional attention and unique solvent. Each of H2O, ethanol and methanol was used for extraction. The plant parts was used individualy to find the most effective part, three species (Isatis tinctoria, Isatis busichaina and Isatis lusitanica) was used in this study to determine the natural products effect on four common pathogenic bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumonia and Enterococcus faecalis. The extraction was done by using H2O, ethanol and methanol. The results show that most of used plants have vital effect. Extracted each of flower, I. tinctoria was show the best results according to other speciess. Extracted leaf of I. tinctoria by methanol was show the best result on S. aureus and E. faecalis. The Inhibition zone was around 6mm at 75% concentration. The flower was follow the leaf for inhibition zone area and followed by the stem. Depend on the results, the methanol was show highest number, then ethanol and the lowest inhibition zone area was for H2O extraction
