The pathogenesis of the overgrowth of dacryorrhinostoma is based on many factors from the development of granulations and scars in the area of the bone opening to the development of the commissural opening, from mucositis in the nasal cavity to purulent persistent forms of rhinosinusitis in the area nose-lacrimal duct. To improve the reparative processes after the operation of endoscopic dacriocystomy with the installation of silicone stent-drainage (from the intubation tube), zinc hyalrate solution was used. The effectiveness of the application was confirmed by the study of the cytological composition of smears – imprints from the nasal mucosa. In the main group, on the 3rd day after surgery, a pronounced cellular infiltration was observed, a large proportion (72,3%) of which was neutrophil leukocytes with pronounced granularity. On the 7th day, the neutrophil count decreased by 30% (P < 0,05) in the cellular composition of the wound contents, and initial signs of degeneration appeared. The number of eosinophils was increased by 5 times, which is associated with the reaction of the underlying tissue to zinc hyalurate. On the 14th day, the decrease in the number of neutrophils continued, with a predominance of cells with pronounced signs of a degenerative-dystrophic nature. By 21 days, complete epithelization of the wound surface was recorded in all parts of the wound surface.
