Abstract:

The present paper has been focused on to synthesize new thiazolidin-4-one derivatives by molecular conjunction, by adopting appropriate synthetic routes. Purification of intermediates and final compounds has been done by recrystallization from suitable solvents and also by chromatographic techniques. Characterization of all the synthesized thiazolidine-4-one derivatives including those of intermediates by physical and spectral data. All the twelve derivatives of thiazoodone-4-ones were screened for anti-diabetic activity by enzymatic glucose-oxidase-peroxidase (GOD-POD) method on diabetic rats and the results are compared with standard drug Glibenclamide.
